CELPIP · IELTS · Morning Brief
CELPIP speaking practice that starts with a habit.
The CELPIP speaking test gives you seconds to prepare and a minute or so to talk. Speaking smoothly under that pressure comes from speaking every day. Morning Brief calls you each morning for five minutes in English and shows you exactly what to fix.
7 days free · no card · then CA$49/month
Good morning! Did anything interesting happen yesterday?
Yes, my landlord told that the rent will increase next month.
Oh no. How do you feel about that? Are you thinking of moving?
Maybe. In my opinion, the rent in Toronto is too much expensive.
How it works
Four steps to your first call
English, already picked
You came here for English, so that step is done. You can change it on the next screen.
Your number and a time
Create an account, add your mobile number, and choose when mornings suit you, in your own time zone.
7 days free, no card
Your calls start straight away. We only ask for payment if you want to keep them after the first week.
Your phone rings
Cadi calls, you chat for about five minutes, and your recap is waiting when you hang up.
What Morning Brief does for CELPIP prep, and what it does not
CELPIP speaking tasks ask you to give advice, describe a scene, compare options and handle a difficult situation, all with almost no preparation time. Candidates who freeze usually know the English; they have not spoken it often enough for it to come out quickly.
Morning Brief is not a CELPIP mock test and does not give you a score. It is the daily speaking that makes test practice pay off: five minutes every morning, then a recap of the grammar and word choices that would cost you marks.
The same is true for the IELTS speaking interview, which starts with exactly this kind of everyday conversation.
After the call
Mistakes that cost speaking marks
Your recap shows fixes like these after every call. Each becomes a review card.
- My landlord told that the rent will increaseMy landlord told me the rent would go up"Tell" needs a person; reported speech shifts the tense.
- The rent is too much expensiveThe rent is far too expensive"Too much" goes with nouns, not adjectives.
- I am agree with youI agree with you"Agree" is a verb; no "am".
Less than one tutor hour a month
CA$49/month for a call every morning. One hour with a private tutor usually costs CA$60–100. This does not replace that hour; it makes it count.
If you are working with a CELPIP coach, keep them for the test strategy. The calls give you the daily speaking between sessions, and your recaps show your coach what to target.
7 days free with no card. Then CA$49/month (or CA$490/year) if you want to keep your calls.

If you have a goal and a date, an exam, a move or a job, we can pair the calls with a tutor who reviews your mistakes and plans what you practise between sessions. Tell us what you need and we will call you.
Book a callQuestions
Is this a CELPIP practice test?
No. It is a daily conversation in English, not a timed CELPIP task and not a score. Use it alongside official practice tests to build the fluency they measure.
Can it guarantee my CLB level?
No one can guarantee a score. Daily speaking gives you many more hours of practice before test day than you would get otherwise.
Does it help with IELTS speaking too?
Yes, in the same way. The IELTS speaking interview opens with everyday questions about your life, which is what the calls are made of.
Can you call me outside Canada?
We call Canada, the US, most of Europe and several other countries. If we cannot call your number, the call comes as a notification in the app instead.
How much does it cost?
7 days free with no card. Then CA$49/month (or CA$490/year) if you want to keep your calls.
