Welcome to Cadentia. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
Cadentia is an AI-powered language tutoring platform that provides:
- Real-time voice conversations with AI tutors for Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, and Romanian
- Error tracking and analysis to identify your learning patterns
- Spaced repetition system for long-term retention
- Progress tracking and learning statistics
2. Account Terms
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cadentia. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the service.
Account Responsibility
- You may only create one account per person
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
- You may not share your account with others
3. Acceptable Use
When using Cadentia, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to bypass or manipulate our systems
- Use abusive, offensive, or inappropriate language toward the AI or in ways that could harm our systems
- Share content that violates others' rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our AI models or proprietary technology
- Use automated tools to access the service without permission
- Resell or redistribute access to the service
4. Subscription and Billing
Free Tier
We offer a free tier with limited features. Free tier limitations may change at any time.
Premium Subscription
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan
- Payment is processed securely through Stripe
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings
Refunds
We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you're unsatisfied with the service, contact us within 7 days of your purchase to request a refund.
5. Service Availability
We strive to keep Cadentia available 24/7, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally need to:
- Perform maintenance or updates
- Address technical issues
- Modify or discontinue features
We'll try to provide advance notice of significant planned downtime when possible.
6. No Guarantees
Cadentia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we work hard to provide an effective learning experience, we cannot guarantee:
- That you will achieve any specific level of language proficiency
- That the AI tutor will be error-free in its corrections or teaching
- That the service will meet all your specific learning needs
Our AI tutors are designed to assist your learning, but they are not a replacement for human instruction or immersion.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Cadentia—including the AI models, curriculum, and user interface—are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the content you create (like personal notes), but grant us a license to use your learning data to improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Abuse our systems or other users
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cadentia and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you don't agree with the new terms, you should stop using the service.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
